5 things that (maybe) you didn’t know about Villa Bella Estança
To start in February, a new publication arrives on our blog. We have used this space to tell you a lot about Villa Bella Estança, the services you will find when you come, the comforts, what you can do in Castelldefels, or the changes we are doing. It seems that we have told you everything, about our house, but there are still details, or little secrets that you don’t know, and that we want to tell you. This publication we want to dedicate to this, reveal new things about Villa Bella Estança.

1. Why are the entrance doors red?
Maybe you have asked yourself this question sometimes by seeing the photos or coming to Villa Bella Estança, because it is not a very common color for some doors. In addition, in our case, our both doors, the street and the access to the house are red. The answer may surprise you: by the Feng-Shui of the house. If you do not know what we are talking about, you can consult this link for more information, but the summary would be that a few years ago we did a study on how to improve the energy of the house, and putting the doors red was a suggestion after doing it. In terms of aesthetics, we also like it a lot, and so they have remained since the great reform we made in 2006. Do you like them?
2. Before, the house had 2 porches.
Yes, what you read. Now, it’s clear they don’t exist, and maybe you’re wondering where they were. Well, when in 2006 we decided to make a great reform throughout the house, changing electrical installation, gas, windows, parquet flooring and others, we also decided to close the two porches. One of them was where the entrance to the house is now. There we had a large table, where we spent many times taking advantage of the shade in summer.
And the other was located where the kitchen is now. The latter we used very little. The old kitchen was located where the washing machine and cleaning products were now, that is, it was very small, and this, with the little use of the porch, made us decide to close it. Now we have gained meters inside the house, without losing garden, since this is still large and with space for tables, shade, grass and rest areas, and inside, closing the main porch, we gained room for book shelves and another table, which often also serves as a work table.
3. Will we and our things be safe?
Yes. When you come, you can be calm. Villa Bella Estança is equipped with an alarm service, and when you check-in we explain how to use it easily. In addition, the installation allows you to put it only downstairs, and be able, in this way, to sleep calmly when you are upstairs. Castelldefels is not a dangerous area, much less, but we believe that protecting valuables and also people is important to rest better.
4. Electric blinds
As you read it. In Villa Bella Estança there is a lot of large window, small and even medium windows, and therefore, there are also many blinds. With the reform of 2006 we put them electric and automatic, which stop when they have closed or when they have opened. On the upper floor you will find a switch for each one, and on the ground floor, you will see that they can be closed and opened with a remote system. In addition, all are security. 5. Is the garden illuminated?
Yes. The entire outdoor area of the house is equipped with lights. Enjoying summer nights should also be a pleasure, and to do so, it is necessary to have lamps and lighting systems. That is why throughout the house there are lights that work with motion sensors, so as not to go dark, as well as spotlights on the side wall of the pool, which illuminate the entire area of grass and table. On the street we also have two lamps indicating that there is someone. Turning these light bulbs on and off will not be a concern for you, as this service is automated.
