The best activities to do as a family from Villa Bella Estança
In today’s post, we suggest a series of activities of all kinds that you can do when you are in Villa Bella Estança. Our house is great, and full of possibilities, but we think it never hurts to do different things when you are on vacation.
Castelldefels, our town, is full of different options, from sports, to comfortable and easily accessible beaches, to shops and establishments of all kinds, as well as the restaurants we talked about in the previous post of this blog. And we are lucky to be only 20 minutes by car and 30 minutes by train from Barcelona. And everything can be done in Barcelona, so when you come to Villa Bella Estança you are definitely not bored. Our first proposal is Canal Olímpic de Catalunya. This facility was inaugurated for the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992, and is still operational, with a huge range of activities for the whole family. The Canal has a length of 1250 meters, where, in the water, you can practice kayaking or canoeing but we also find paddle courts, a path for running, cycling or skating, its Pitch & Putt, gym, archery area, soccer and volleyball courts, and table tennis. The range of everything the Olympic Canal has to offer is very wide, as you can see. On its website you can check timetables, prices and rates according to the time of year. To continue with the recommendations, let’s not go much further. Introducing the Olympic Cable Park, located within the Olympic Canal. This is the Cable Ski facility you will find on the canal. A 650-meter circuit, where up to nine people can practice water skiing at the same time with the help of cable. It is the ideal way to start and also to perfect the technique. In addition, they provide you with all the necessary material. Fashion sport in an easy and fun way, ideal for the whole family, as for the little ones, there is the most fun option, to do cable skiing in a boat. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with bar and restaurant service, sun loungers, outdoor tables, changing rooms and games for the little ones. We continue with water sports, but this time we move to the sea. Castelldefels beach is huge, comfortable and ideal to enjoy with the whole family, as it is shallow and with the sea most days, quiet. There are all the circumstances to practice sports on the sea, and the Garbí Nautical School is the ideal place to do so. Open all year round to offer sailing and surfing courses, equipment rental and trips to the sea. You can do all kinds of sports: sailing, kitesurfing, paddle surfing, surfing and windsurfing. Situated on the sand, with a restaurant inside, changing rooms and a relaxation area, it is a pleasant place to spend the day with the family. Today’s fourth recommendation takes us to Barcelona, to enjoy the best football in the world. If you are so close to the Camp Nou, the Barcelona Football Club Stadium, it is a must to visit. With a capacity of 98,000 people, it is one of the largest stadiums in the world, rated 5 stars. A visit to its museum will allow you to live the experience of the players up close, stepping on the grass of the playing field, sitting on the players bank, visiting the changing rooms, the tunnel and the press rooms. In addition, you can enjoy the audiovisual room, to relive the most epic moments of the Club. The house of Leo Messi, Ronaldinho, Eto’o, Neymar and Luis Suárez, among many others, is ready to make you vibrate. And now we travel a little further, 80 kilometers south from Villa Bella Estança, to Vila-seca (Tarragona) to recommend the best amusement park in Europe. Port Aventura is one of the largest parks on the continent, with an immense variety of attractions, shows and restaurants from around the world. From China to the Far West, through Polynesia and Mexico, you can enjoy roller coasters, water attractions, fantastic adventures and lifelong attractions, where the whole family will find what they like. And we continue with the amusement parks, this time we go to Tibidabo, located in the mountains behind Barcelona. Without leaving the city, you can enjoy an amusement park ideal for children, where you will discover a fascinating magical world, with great attractions for the little ones. The next recommendation for family activities is to visit the Barcelona Aquarium. It is the largest oceanarium in Europe, with the most species of marine animals. It also has a glass tunnel over 80 meters long, where you can walk and feel yourself walking underwater, observing the number of sea creatures around you. The little ones in the house will be fascinated to see sharks up close, such as stingreys, moray eels, octopuses and countless fish of all different colors. Check prices here. Where? And the last recommendation of this post is to discover the most scientific side of life. We encourage you to visit the CosmoCaixa, popularly known as the Science Museum.
