Changes at home, 2021 season. First part.
After a few weeks of not posting anything on our blog, we’re back. We didn’t take this time on holiday, we took the opportunity to improve, repair and fix different things in Villa Bella Estança. The summer season is starting, and to make your stay here unbeatable, everything needs to be spotless to welcome you. Kitchen
Painting the walls a different color always makes the spaces change a lot. We left behind in maroon the walls of our kitchen, and shot for a sky blue color, very light, almost white. This makes it look even bigger, let in more light and look even more comfortable than it already is. We also added three paintings that we find very charming (as you can see in the photos) and we fixed the oven, which had not worked well for some time.
Suite Room
The largest room in the house has also been greatly improved. As in the kitchen, we decided to paint the walls light blue, and we think it now has an even more Mediterranean touch than before, which was soft orange. The bathroom that is part of this room is also painted this light shade, leaving behind the deep intense blue above. In addition, we have added a stool, which we think can be very useful, and a mosaic type carpet. Do you like it?
Second floor toilet
The other bathroom on the second floor has undergone a small change, but we’ll tell you about it. Before, this was where you found the three pictures of the original plans of the possible design of the house, but now you will find them when you reach the top floor, at the end of the stairs. We believe that this is how they look more, as they are very important to us. Instead, in the bathroom, you will find three illustrated flower paintings, which we love.
Armchairs
These armchairs you see in the photo can be found under the stairs, making a very charming corner with the old Singer sewing machine. Do you know how old these armchairs are? More than 50 years! They were from Aunt Caterina, and we have taken great care of them and upholstered them in many different colors over the years. The last renovation was to leave them as you see them in the photo. We love them.
