The best restaurants in Castelldefels, less than a kilometer from home.

Today our blog is dedicated to recommending the best restaurants in Castelldefels Playa, the ones that are closest to home and that we like the most. For many years, as a family, with friends or as a couple, we like to enjoy local food.

Luckily, the Castelldefels Beach area has a very rich and varied offer at different prices, close to home and always close to the sea, every day of the year. You can find good meat dishes, fish dishes cooked in different ways, rice dishes and fideuás, combinations of Catalan cuisine with foreign cuisine, fast food and places to have long meals. I’m sure you’re already getting hungry just reading this… Shall we start?

Our first recommendation is Chiringuito Chalito. Located just 5 minutes walk from home, on the sand, in front of the Plaza de las Palmeras, you will find the beach bar that offers you a very high quality in its dishes, and that, in our opinion, makes it one of the best restaurants of the area. It is Luis Suárez’s restaurant, therefore, his menu is full of Uruguayan food. Its specialty is “Milanesas“, and you can find them both with beef and chicken, accompanied by a variety of combinations. In its menu you will also find hamburgers, Uruguayan empanadas, pizzas and fries. Summer afternoons offer concerts, DJ sessions and good music, to accompany with a drink while you enjoy the sunset on the sand. This chiringuito is open from May to September, but do not suffer, because throughout the year you can enjoy Chalo de tapas, located on Paseo Marítimo 180, and, in addition, they always have their home service available, which will allow you to enjoy their delicious dishes also at home.

Where? Paseo Marítimo 45, in front of the Plaza de las Palmeras.

The second restaurant that we recommend is located less than 2 minutes walk from home. One of the few Chiringuitos in Castelldefels open every day of the year, located on the Paseo Marítimo, touching the sand, with views of the sea and a brutal meal. We are talking about Marae, the Grupo Tiburón beach bar. You can enjoy all kinds of food: from hamburgers and pizzas, very complete salads, meat and fish dishes to rice dishes, which are the specialty of the group. It is the ideal place, also to make a good vermouth, since it has a very wide range of dishes to nibble on, on its menu. Beer and a good wine will accompany your lunch or dinner, in an informal restaurant. Ideal for the whole family, and with a very high quality in all its dishes.

Where? Paseo Marítimo 87, in front of Calle 14.

Today’s third proposal has the name of Mambo. Mambo is a small restaurant located on the corner of the house, where you will enjoy the tranquility and taste crepes, paninis and delicious sandwiches. It is a quick solution, which will satisfy your hunger and, in addition, it will leave you a delicious taste in your mouth. And be careful! Most important of all, they have a vegan option and their crepes are gluten-free.

Where? Paseo Marítimo 86, on the corner of Calle 14.

We changed the type of food and almost forced you to go to enjoy the Solraig restaurant, also from Grupo Tiburón. Located three minutes by car from home, you will find a high-class restaurant, with very affordable prices and an impressive menu. There you can eat while enjoying spectacular views of the beach, either from its terrace or from the indoor dining room, which has a glass window from where you can see the sea while you eat. Its specialty is fish dishes, cooked in infinite different ways and above all, rice. They also have the award for the third best rice in Spain. Their recipe for truffled rice with red crab, mushrooms and Basque piparra was named the third best rice in Spain in 2018. You can accompany your lunch or dinner with a good wine, as they have a very complete menu.

Our fifth proposal of essential restaurants on the beach of Castelldefels is the Soli Restaurant. Just 8 minutes walk from home, it is the ideal restaurant to enjoy both with family and groups, since you can take advantage of it both in summer, on its beautiful terrace, and in winter, in its cozy interior dining room. The identity of this restaurant they are traditional dishes combined with a touch of modernity, adapted to the flavors of modern life. Its menu is varied, since you can find both meat and fish dishes, without forgetting its rice dishes and paellas. Accompanied by an extensive wine list, and good room service, they will make your meal there unforgettable.

And finally, we traveled to Italy without moving a kilometer from our home. We propose you Spriz Ristorante. Just 5 minutes from home, you will find a delicious corner of Italy. The best pizzas and pasta dishes in Castelldefels await you in this restaurant that is very curious on the inside, with affordable prices and an extensive and rich menu.
